01. What is included and what is not included in the De Palm Island day package?

Included: round-trip transportation from most major hotels (optional), all you can eat breakfast & lunch buffet, unlimited snacks, snorkel equipment, snorkel tours, beach access including beach chairs and optional shade, zipline, air-jumpers, banana boat rides, water park access, unlimited beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), (beach) activities like beach volley and basketball, and salsa lessons. The following is charged separately: Sea Trek Underwater Helmet Walk, SNUBA, Power Snorkel, massages and any items purchased from the gift shop.

The half day package without hotel transportation gives you access to De Palm Island starting at 11 am and doesn't include the breakfast buffet.

02. Can I go to De Palm Island on my own?

Yes you can, many guests go by rental car. You can follow signs after passing the airport and you can also find De Palm Island in any (online) map. Free parking is offered and you can purchase your entrance at the ticket booth right there (or upfront at any of our other locations). A 5 minute ferry boat ride from the mainland to De Palm Island is included in all packages. You can enter De Palm Island between 9 am and 2 pm daily.

03. What are the opening and closing times of De Palm Island?

De Palm Island is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, also on public holidays. You can purchase same day tickets and enter De Palm Island till 2 pm.

04. Is De Palm Island open every day?

Yes De Palm Island operates 7 days a week with the same operating hours (see previous question).

05. Is the water park for children only or also for adults?

No, the water park is ideal for all ages. Children under 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

06. How deep is the water for snorkeling at De Palm Island?

Snorkeling at De Palm Island ranges from waist deep to approximately 15 feet in depth. Keep in mind that standing on coral is not permitted.

07. Is snorkel instruction provided at De Palm Island?

Yes, the guides at the snorkel booth can help you and give instructions when needed. A lifeguard will watch over the snorkel area.

A free snorkel tour is conducted twice daily; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. A guide goes with every tour and provides instruction and safety vests.

08. How far is De Palm Island from the hotels?

Approximately a 25 minute drive from the hotel area in your own vehicle or approximate 40 minutes by bus. De Palm Island is located in Balashi, behind the airport.

09. Is De Palm Island easy to find if I go there on my own?

Yes, it is on the main road heading south from the hotel and downtown area. Approximately two miles past the airport follow the signs to De Palm Island. It's also easy to find in for example Google maps.

10. Is De Palm Island geared more for kids or adults?

De Palm Island is an all-inclusive island offering something for everyone. Couples or friends without children can enjoy snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, the open bar and buffet, Sea Trek, SNUBA, Power Snorkel, massages, unlimited banana boat rides, the daily salsa lesson and beach activities like beach volley. The water park is also open for adults and the zipline and air-jumpers are fun for all ages. Approximately 20% of the visitors are under the age of 12 years and most in this age group come during the school vacations.
