01. What type of submarine tours does De Palm Tours offers?

De Palm Tours offers dives with Atlantis Submarines, which goes to depths of 130 feet (40 meter). And tours with Seaworld Explorer, a semi-submersible vessel that remains above sea level, while its hull sits five feet below the surface.

02. What is the difference between Atlantis Submarines and Seaworld Explorer?

Atlantis Submarines is a submarine that goes down to depths of 130 feet (40 meter), giving passengers a view of different shipwrecks and coral reefs in the Barcadera area (south of Oranjestad).

In Seaworld Explorer passengers sit in its hull 5 feet below the surface, providing spectacular viewing of the Arashi coral reef, abundant sea life and the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean, the World War II German freighter Antilla.

Both vessels are air-conditioned.

03. What's the minimum age for the submarine tours?

The minimum age for Atlantis Submarines is 4 years old and a height of 36" (90 cm). There are no age restrictions for Seaworld Explorer, and children under 2 go for free (when sitting on the lap of a parent or guardian). For both, guests must be able to navigate steps into the vessel.

04. Is hotel transportation provided with the submarine tours?

No, pick up and drop off at your hotel is not included for both submarine tours. See question 5 for boarding locations.

05. Where do I go to board the submarine?

Atlantis Submarines departs downtown at the Atlantis Retail Store, across from Crystal Casino. Tickets can also be purchased here but keep in mind that a tour can be full when showing up last minute. Paid parking available (coins needed).

Seaworld Explorer departs from De Palm Pier on Palm Beach, between Riu and Hilton Resort. Check-in for the tour is at Coconuts Retail Store located on the pier. Also here ticket sales is available, but pre-booking is recommended.
