De Palm Tours Helps Hende Muhe den Dificultad (Women in Difficulty)

Recently, the Social Committee of De Palm Tours organized a flea market to raise money for Hende Muhe den Dificultad, a non-profit organization that assists women facing difficulties such as job loss and physical battery. Not letting rain stand in their way, the Committee, along with volunteers from numerous De Palm Tours departments, raised Afls. 3575 ($2042) for the group while hosting the event in front of the De Palm Tours main office on L.G. Smith Blvd. Held for a second time, the Social Committee of De Palm Tours, including Carla Martinus, Anjali Vishnudatt, Robert Tromp, Pauline Naddall, and Rosanna Hereira, put on the fundraising event. Yvonne Spellen (President of Hende Muhe den Dificultad) along with board members Sigrid Larres and Altagracia Chapman and volunteers Gladys Kock and Jovelle Castro also put in their time to make this a successful event. Carla Martinus, member of the Social Committee and Concierge Sales Coordinator for De Palm Tours, said that there is already another flea market in the works for after Aruba's festive Carnaval season.
