Gloria Vega is the Recipient of the First Annual Malmberg Family Award
Oranjestad -- The University of Aruba, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management Studies, FHTMS, is proud to announce that Gloria Vega is the winner of the first annual competition, vying for the Malmberg Family award of excellence.
The family, in conjunction with the university, decided to establish an annual contest for the best defended thesis, presented by FHTMS graduates.

Twelve months ago, De Palm Tours, Aruba's largest tours and transportation company made a commitment to care for the Alto Vista chapel and its environs.
The chapel and its surrounding natural garden are a historical site, and a national heritage landmark. De Palm Purchases Atlantis Submarines Aruba

De Palm Corporation officially purchased 100% of the shares of Atlantis Submarines Aruba N.V. and took over the running of the Atlantis Aruba company as of February 1, 2011. "Atlantis is a good fit for us," said Harold Malmberg, who is chairman of the board of De Palm Corp., "because we have been selling the Atlantis products for 20 years. It was just a matter of identifying the synergies and making sure the transition into the De Palm operations went smoothly."

De Palm Tours Volunteers keeping Alto Vista Chapel clean

 Last week twenty four employees from De Palm Tours volunteered to clean up the area around The Chapel of Alto Vista and Boca Pos de Noord. A small group of employees moved the lawn and trimmed the weeds with lawnmowers and weed whackers to tame the grass that has been growing as a result of the heavy rainfall in November and December.

The Blue Parrotfish Water Park reopens after a seasonal refresh

The Blue Parrotfish Water Park on De Palm Private Island underwent a seasonal refresh during the past 6 weeks. A team of 16 local engineers under the guidance of a US water park consultant worked tirelessly around the clock to complete the check list and install an auto pilot chlorination system which ensures the optimal condition of the water especially during high occupancy periods.
